We'll there are some dog owners on Bainbridge Island that haven't been good citizens and have messed it up for everybody else. It's more than just the poop. Uncontrolled dogs have been attacking  dogs, horses, other wildlife and biting park staff. So- the Bainbridge Park District is going to be paying the Humane Society for doggie patrols. The leash laws have been on the books since 1972 and they won't start enforcing them until next year, until then it's education time.
